who we are

Kingfisher Bar & Grill has been locally owned & operated continuously in central Tucson, Arizona since 1993. Voted Best Seafood for more than 20 years running, we are proud to offer a wide variety of the freshest oysters, shrimp, shellfish, and fish, as well as grilled meats & upscale American-style fare. We also offer an extensive award-winning beverage program, helmed by a Certified Sommelier, which includes wine, beer, sprits & sprit-free selections. We strive to source and use local ingredients whenever possible, and create a simultaneously classic & inventive delicious dining experience.

Happy hour is Monday through Friday in the bar area only, from 2 p.m. - 6 p.m.

Kingfisher is closed annually on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Black Friday, and Christmas Day. We close early on Christmas Eve (7:30 p.m.).

We are also closed for two weeks each summer. This summer we will be closed from Sunday, June 28, through Monday, July 13, reopening for business on Tuesday, July 14 at 11 a.m.

Our Annual Summer Road Trip kicks off on Wednesday, May 20, 2026! In addition to our full regular menu, each summer we “visit” various regions throughout the U.S. with special menus exploring the cuisine, flavors and culinary identities of each region; and we also “visit” two international destinations! Each road trip menu runs for approximately three weeks, and features a five-course prix fixe dinner with beverage pairings highlighting the menu. Reservations for the prix fixe dinners are required, and can be made by calling us at 520.323.7739. Online reservations are not accepted for the prix fixe dinners.

Kingfisher Bar & Grill's private dining room, aka the "Green Room", can be booked for private events or private dining for up to 35 people. Room is fully private and includes custom configurations of tables, audio-visual equipement, and more.

Do you need live, fresh shellfish for your next party? We can get it for you! We can also prepare whole live lobster on-site for your special occasion, with advance notice. WINE, BEER, SPIRITS & SPRIT-FREE

Our award-winning beverage program features an extensive selection of American-produced wines, with a focus on unique flavor profiles, lesser-known varietals, sustainable production practices, and of course, locally-produced Arizona wines. We also feature a small selection of handpicked rotating unique foreign wines. We offer a large selection of beers (both bottle & draught), and a full bar of hand-selected spirits. We are proud to feature an extensive selection of unique spirit-free options & handcrafted beverages. Our Certified Sommelier (fun fact: a three-time Jeopardy contestant & two-time winner) will be happy to suggest an expert beverage pairing (by the glass or by the bottle) for your meal.

We regret to inform you that based on our current Arizona liquor license, we are unable to allow any outside alcohol to be brought into our establishment, however we are happy to work with you to find something that suits your specific tastes. Our license also prohibits off-sale alcohol, so you must consume your purchase on-site.
